Indoor Activities
I have a comprehensive range of toys and equipment to suit all
needs and ages and stage of development to include; construction toys,
Lego, k’nex, puzzles, craft materials, art, drawing, home corner /
role play toys, farm, garage, dolls, games, dressing up,
educational activities, musical instruments and worksheets for the
older child.
Treasure baskets designed for the non-crawling baby, play gym and
shape sorter, pop up toys and many others.
Outdoor Activities
I have a large safe grassed garden, totally enclosed, with a
covered sand pit, water tray, play tunnel, football goal, paddling
pool, trampoline, little tykes house, bikes, trucks, prams,
pushchairs, hoops, skittles, boules and children’s chairs and
tables.
A child’s day will include a structured activity, crafts, cutting
and sticking, painting, corn silk, dough, cooking, storytime, singing
and music. Time is also set aside for physical play and free play, with a
range of toys to stimulate the imagination, challenge the child
intellectually and encourage independence in learning.
Children have access to all the toys and equipment themselves. They
are encouraged to select for themselves and put away when finished
or wanting to move onto something new.
Outings and Trips
I believe in healthy living, so unless the weather is particularly
inclement (puddle jumping is fun!) we will be outside for some part of
the day. (We will normally do a school or nursery run) We visit
the park, the garden centre, the weekly market, the farm and fresh
fish shop, go swimming, visit adventure world or a toddler group. During
school holidays we make trips to the zoo, wildfowl park, the farm,
museums, places of local interest and have picnics.
I have a Mercedes 7 seater, so all children are securely seated in
appropriate restraints. I am a member of the AA and carry a mobile
phone at all times. I have Class 1 insurance for business use for my
car.
